The Ashland Symphony Orchestra is proud to present three scholarships annually to inspire and enhance the skill level of aspiring musicians in Ashland County who study an orchestral instrument. Two (2) $250 scholarships are presented to students in grades 5-8 and One (1) $500 scholarship to a high school student in grades 9-11. Each recipient has demonstrated superior musicianship and dedication to music and his or her instrument.
The Scholarship Program list of approved instruments includes: Violin, Viola, Cello, String bass, Flute (includes piccolo and alto flute), Oboe (includes English horn), Clarinet (includes bass clarinet and E-flat clarinet), Bassoon (includes contrabassoon), Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion (includes timpani, snare drum, marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone), Piano, Harp, Saxophone, and Baritone/Euphonium.
Applications will be available in January 2027.
