Violist Eva Mondragón has cultivated an engaging and diverse career as a music collaborator and educator. Eva completed her undergraduate studies at the Peabody Conservatory under the guidance of Victoria Chiang and her Master of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Cleveland Orchestra violist Mark Jackobs. It was during this time that Eva discovered her passion for teaching and working with the next generation of musicians, which ultimately inspired her to pursue her Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Maryland in College Park.
As an active freelancing musician in Northeast Ohio, Eva frequently performs with a variety of professional orchestras. In addition to a full performance schedule, Eva is also the Head of the Strings Department at The Music Settlement in Cleveland, OH. Currently, Eva lives in Akron, OH where she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband and cat.
